I've been tryin' to wrap my head around it
Two things I can think of happen - you go back to your world, but have no memory of the station and when you come back, you don't remember the time spent away, so it's like two timelines getting snapped together without knowin' it.
Or, I guess, the worse kinda thing. That all worlds, everywhere are just... gone. That there ain't nothin' to go back to, you just kinda float in non-existence for a while until the station decides to drag you in for round number two.
Either way, it's all sortsa messed up.

yeah. there's just not enough evidence to say for sure, but no matter how you look at it, it's weird, right?
there's no way everything's just *gone* though. there's no way that's possible. isn't it possible that he ended up in a different part of the station, or a different station entirely? like... maybe a teleporter or something. idk we're in space, it doesn't seem that far-fetched.
i keep thinking about what tanaka said, though. that his memories were taken from him and the rest of his class, and that's why they didn't know i wasn't their classmate. what if it's something similar?

I just spent three weeks in the hospital. [Medbay. Erika had opened the door, listened to his pitch, then slumped against the doorframe on her right side, looking exhausted in the way that only someone who's soared well past exasperation (and abandoned vitriol) can.

If the station's like one giant instance in a server, then getting copied over to other versions of it, just to go through the same shit but in a different way with different people and not remember any of it... shit.

I don't wanna believe that we're just repeating shit over and over again. I don't know if it's experimentation, I still don't buy it. I think that whatever those nerds did before we got here musta screwed everything up and we're just kinda strung along for the ride until he figure out how to fix that giant screwup
Because we ain't perfect test subjects. There's too much going on with each of us to test anything that'd even be like, remotely goddamn useful.

i thought seeing ezra again would help us figure out some more of the mysteries of this station, but all it's done is bring more questions. i guess i should just try to be happy to be able to see my friend again, huh?

Yeah, Haru and I came from the same day in our world.
The only thing we can do is make sure that the Metaverse doesn't look or act differently the more time we spend here. It's bound to get all sortsa twisted up the longer people are sufferin', but if there's new corridors or areas that look like they lead to the center of something, we gotta make sure that we figure out what's at the bottom of that shit.
