let's kill her

Considering what Mary Smythe did back in Gallipoli, can I get some preliminary odds for taking her down? Assuming Mhic Nathair has the same face as she she did back there, Ryuji would recognize her from all the time he spent as a medic/working in those tents, and remembers incredibly well the betrayal of one of the nurses that slit the soldiers' throats (he and 9S tried to save one). Probably enough to have a personal vendetta against her.
Few thoughts here; I'm just spitballing some ideas.
1. I'm completely willing to accept Ryuji's death as an outcome, hell, even encouraging it to be honest
2. He would probably try to rally some people to do it with him, so it might not be alone (assuming, here, that she'd never step foot in the arena).
3. Assuming that, okay, maybe a full frontal assassination mission might not be very viable, what about the metaverse? If that's on the table, he'd like to go in there and steal her heart (probably harder, all things considered), or outright skip the mechanic altogether of trying to rehabilitate her into feeling remorse for what she did, and just completely damage the cornerstone of her psyche enough to cause massive instability (known as a mental shutdown in P5- it usually ends with the person committing suicide).
Or if any of this is completely out of scope and off the table because there's plans for her, that's cool too. I imagine Ryuji would still like to try (see #1).
Mod Response:
So! While we completely encourage this kind of plot, this isn't the thread for it; this thread is for filling out the textarea and getting rolls on if your character dies in the arena battles. What you're asking for is more akin to a player plot, which you can put on the above linked player plot page, or up in the general questions if you'd prefer to keep it all on the same page. That all said, I REALLY REALLY REALLY encourage you to go through with it, there are definitely a lot of ways to go about it, and it may be something that could have serious effect on the plot later down the line.
All we'd need from you is:
-Who is involved.
-What's their method of attack / extraction / whatever?
-What's their ultimate goal?
-Do you want any outcomes rng'd by us (and if so, what)?
Feel free to stick that in either of the linked spaces and we'll get back to you asap.

Codename: Saber
Specialty: Strength, stamina... killing a lot of fools.
Method of attack: BIG SWORD, red lightning, fist/feet/teeth.
Things you'd like to see: JUST LET HER HAVE RYUJI'S BACK. Mordred would 100% vote for killing her (whether in the metaverse or real life), fwiw, though she could be talked into the heart stealing.

(best servant tbh
even when you're throwing shade at your master)

Codename: R'iia (it's a Teedo goddess name... she's followin Ryuji's suggestion)
Specialty: she has the force so I mean... here's your cheat card
Method of attack:
Things you'd like to see: Since this is more of a personal thing for Ryuji I'd love to have her basically just supporting him! She would be the opposite of Mordred and support stealing hearts, but really as long as it was supporting Ryuji he'd be able to convince her go with whatever plan he felt was more important.
Basically just +1 support only a slightly less murdery version

let's kick some regency ass!!!

Codename: Wolf
Specialty: Strength, but not as much so as the preternatural characters (just pretty much peak physical strength for a human of his size); strategy, but known for emotion-driven mistakes; really good and fast with a sword; has killed 50+ people? Tried to punch a guy to death once. But also, compassionate conversations with people.
Method of attack: He's there to support, but if you're asking him, it involves anger and a cool sword.
Things you'd like to see:
1. I don't know if Jon will know by this point that her shabti is actually Kebechet Undercover, but he'd sure like to know, and I'm unsure of how to approach related interactions because I don't want things to be too on the nose (i.e. he just happens to approach the right people without a hook to send him there). Either way, Mhic having killed the wounded soldiers would be enough for him to be convinced to go after her.
2. If he's convinced somehow that it's possible, Jon would not only want to steal Mhic's heart, he would want to see if there was a way to turn her so that she works for COST inside of the Regency. Otherwise, killing her is fine with him, but he's into making allies of enemies where it's possible and where they can find a common cause.

i think i might've missed the note that Kebechet was involved with this as her shabti, but goddamn, that makes this even better. also, inflicting a change of heart to join up to COST seems so incredibly dangerous and beautiful.
of course, if the team just wants to do a full frontal assault that's fine too, we can try to kill her outright

Codename: Cruel
his signature weapons have this in their nameSpecialty: Strategy, intelligence gathering, stealth. His strength and speed are significant compared to organic beings.
Method of attack: As hacking targets consciousness and it works on magical or technological targets, he'd certainly try this. It could absolutely backfire: for instance, hacking a corrupted Eve in turn infected him. If hacking is successful on the other hand he's capable of hijacking or damaging a target. He's the dumb kind of smart and reckless, I'm prepared for awful results if others indulge him in this.
Things you'd like to see: Let him princess carry Ryuji...

a hacker in this team, either in the metaverse or in real life will definitely have some interesting results. it's super exciting to see where this would go- and depending on our course of action, i could submit the player plot request to have an rng contest of will for 9S vs infected hack save.
(please princess carry ryuji)

(Clearly it is his destiny to princess carry Ryuji)

On the metaverse side of things, if we go down that route, 9S could probably hack the structure of its very reality and make this go really smoothly.
BTW- I posted up a discussion thread just below so that we can determine the initial course of action/what route we're taking. After we hammer out details and what makes sense for them to do, I'll go ahead and submit to the mods for approval!

9S, the most delighted to be useful, even if it's in a really, really weird way.
And I'm on it!

Codename: Blade
Specialty: In addition to his mastery of swordfighting, Mams has also received training with firearms and military tactics. He works kinda(?) as Covert Ops, but isn't the sneaky type - if it would be up to just him, he wouldn't say no to using a full frontal raid. He is all for strategy, manipulative fighting and making sure that their opponent knows why they lost.
Method of attack: Efficient.
Things you'd like to see: ANYTHING GOES he'll be here to make sure the kids don't get into too much trouble ok ok

DISCUSSION
Possible Success Conditions:
-Killing outright
-Changing her heart
-Corrupting her heart
Notes:
-Vote to straight up kill: Mordred, Mamoru
-Vote for stealing hearts: Rey, Jon
In our team comp, we have:
-Brute physical: Mordred, Mamoru, Jon
-Magical: Rey, Ryuji (not... very good at it...)
-Tactical: Mamoru, 9S
-Technical: 9S, and to some degree, Ryuji
So what thoughts do you guys have?
Some things I thought about, potentially. Feel free to offer other ideas or expand on stuff, it's collaborative and as imaginative as you guys want it to be. All I know is that from a character perspective, Ryuji won't be able to sit still knowing who she is. He wants to take do something about it, almost as a means of closure for the stuff that happened back in Gallipoli. Truthfully speaking, he's being super reckless lately and maybe a success or failure here might smack some sense into him to actually care for himself more/think about the long-term rather than short. For you guys, whatever your motivations are, I'm sure it'll provide a chance for good character growth as well, and some good CR for future stuff.
That said, here are some ideas. Let me know what you think:
-We just try and corner her and her shabti, but only after we've strategized a way to particularly single her out and get her away from the Regency goons. Perhaps a successful message hack or brain hack to make sure she's at the right place at the right time.
-We go into the metaverse as a group and take on her palace. If the mission is a success, we can just straight out steal her heart and cause a chance in personality that might lead to her defection to COST. If we have some mixed results, we can go into the palace and cause a mental shutdown which leads to her potential death. If everything goes to hell, we get kicked out of the palace and she knows what we tried to do.
-We try a hybrid approach where 4 members go into the palace, working under the Metaverse strategy. The remaining 2 members confront/corner her in the real world and provide extraction.
-Alternatively, we kidnap her and then begin metaverse shenanigans
What type of RNG rolls would you like to see?

9S will, of course, volunteer his hacking abilities. He should know by this point that he's capable of doing this with Regency operatives, but would note that this is single target. His hacking interface is also something only he'd perceive in the physical world, and mostly lets him do things like impair/hijack physical functions (stop punching yourself, etc) or access memories or even control targets.
The latter only applies to less sophisticated entities however. Can't conveniently blow her up either I assume. But he'd offer this up. As for a plan of attack, he'd suggest isolating their target and having control over whatever environment they're in if at all possible. An ambush once they've learned her routine or so; he could suggest that he and Jon do some recon to this effect, since he's seen Jon mention his vocation.
From there, well. 9S isn't a leader type, and he'd absolutely defer to his human allies here. Just know he's ready and willing to be reckless and hack away. Also after the medical tent massacre in Gallipoli he's similarly motivated. Lived that carnage with Ryuji and all.

And of course, if 9S wants to be a part of Team A and confront Mhic Nathair straight on, we can adjust the teams.
Or if he wants to be an elite Team C who works as a conduit between the two (floating in and out between, or whatever your idea is), that'd be cool too!

What's their method of attack / extraction / whatever?: Two pronged approach.
Team A (Mordred, Mamoru): will work together to confront Mhic Nathair head on. Their ultimate goal is to get her defenses weakened down enough to either a) extract her away from her Shabti long enough to make her fear that her life is in danger/her role within the Regency will be compromised or b) outright attempt assassination should the plans of Team B fail to meet their ultimate goal.
Team B (Rey, Jon, 9S, and Ryuji): will enter the Metaverse and look for her shadow self. Since Jhasch is filled with violence and there's a coordination of many political presences, the corruption should be large enough to form its own entity in this metaphysical realm.
What is their ultimate goal?: In order of preference from best outcome to worst.
-Jon, Rey, and Ryuji would like to steal her heart (which would take the material form of some tangible object in the metaverse) and reform her, making her repent and defect to COST's cause
-If that doesn't work, the next best option is to kill her shadow self outright, which would basically be like destroying her soul (she would die immediately). Alternative option is to destroy the treasure. That will cause massive mental instability in her and cause a mental shutdown. Think of it like wiping a person's brain to a clean state and making them go ballistic
-If all else fails, Mordred and Mamoru will try physical combat in the real world
-In the worst case scenario, it's a total party kill. Some, or all of the members die in the Metaverse, or Team A will be overpowered and killed by Mhic Nathair and her shabti.
Do you want any outcomes rng'd by us (and if so, what)?: We can provide some modifiers and reasonable arguments for what the party's specific strengths are here, but I think RNG could be employed in the following ways, with outright pass/fail being a sort of grey area and depending on the scale of events that happen
-9S's hacking ability success/fail (we're looking to use this to hack from within and make our lives easier in the metaverse)
-Success/Fail for stealing her heart (vs killing her from within, vs forcing Team A into a scuffle)
-Success/Fail for escaping (Team A: kidnapping/absconding after murder, general success of the Team B to get out of the Metaverse unscathed, particularly the part that contains Mhic Nathair's heart, as it'll start to crumble once/if the heart is stolen)
